From a beautiful idea to a useful solution
A cabinet photo does not show what must fit inside. List what you use daily and what simply needs storing. Note large items and how you want to access them.
For a wall or door, consider movement through the home: what should be separated and when should the space feel open? Distinguish appearance from practical use so the design can respond to both.

Describe the final finish too
‘Finished’ can mean different things. Do you mean installed, ready for painting or fully painted in your chosen colour? Include fittings, visible joints and connections to the floor or wall.
Supplying materials yourself or using another painter? Tell us beforehand. Note confirmed product choices and where you need advice, so responsibility for each part remains clear.
Use the survey to resolve open questions
Your own sketch is welcome but need not be a working drawing. Explain your idea and which dimensions or proportions matter. The survey assesses the existing situation and connections.
Specialist bespoke work deserves attention to its construction, even if later hidden. Our project page therefore shows work in progress as well as finished results. Use these images to discuss shapes or details you like.
