What should your new bathroom solve?
Write down three specific improvements: hiding clutter, getting ready together or easier cleaning, for example. These say more about the layout you need than simply ‘a modern bathroom’. Also note what you want to keep.
Picture a morning in the room. Where is your towel? Where are everyday products? Can a drawer open while someone stands at the basin? Bring these questions to the survey; you do not need to establish exact technical measurements yourself.

Include ventilation in your plan

Consider your lighting preferences too: comfortable light at the mirror, light in the shower and a calm evening atmosphere. Have the technical installation and positioning assessed for your particular bathroom.
From moodboard to a clear enquiry
Save a few examples and note what appeals to you in each. ‘This wood colour’ or ‘a niche like this’ is more useful than an unexplained folder. For fittings and tiles, note what you have chosen, what you intend to buy yourself and what remains open.
Ask how the proposal fits together: who supplies each part, who installs it and what finish is included? This creates one bathroom plan rather than a set of separate purchases.
